A festival asks you to plan a day rather than attend a show. Multiple stages run in parallel, walking distances are real, and the choices you make about pacing matter more than any single set.

Logistics carry the day. Entry points, transit and parking, water, shade or shelter, and where you will eat are the decisions that determine whether the last few hours are enjoyable.

Accept that you cannot see everything. Overlaps are part of the format; choosing two or three priorities per day and treating the rest as opportunistic is a better plan than a full schedule.

Multi-day attendance changes the calculation again. Rest, travel between days and, where camping is offered, sleeping arrangements belong in the plan from the start rather than being improvised.

Conditions are part of the event. Outdoor festivals are exposed to weather, and preparing for heat, rain or cold is ordinary festival practice rather than pessimism.

Decide first how many days you want to attend. Multi-day passes and single-day tickets are different products, and the right choice depends on your stamina, travel and budget rather than on price alone.

Understand the access types the event actually offers. Many festivals sell general admission alongside areas with reserved or elevated viewing; what each includes is defined by the organiser, so read their own description rather than assuming a standard.

Budget for the whole trip. Travel, accommodation or camping, food and transport between the site and where you are staying are usually a larger share of the cost than the ticket.

Compare all-in totals for the exact number of passes you need, and confirm what the event's published entry rules allow you to bring before you commit.
