Hinatazaka46's 'Icha Icha Mushi' Leads Japan Hot 100; Mrs. GREEN APPLE's 'POPS' Album Charts All 16 Tracks
Hinatazaka46's 'Icha Icha Mushi' claims the No. 1 spot on the Japan Hot 100. Meanwhile, every song from Mrs. GREEN APPLE's 'POPS' album enters the chart, and EBiDAN's 'Yes! Tokyo' climbs to second place.
Hinatazaka46 ‘s “Icha Icha Mushi” soars to No. 1 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100 , on the chart released Oct. 7.
The title track of the group’s 18th single, released Sept. 30, moved 523,787 copies in its first week to score the group’s 18th consecutive No. 1 on the sales metric since their debut. The track comes in at No. 11 for downloads, No. 36 for streaming, and No. 49 for radio airplay, vaulting from No. 32 last week to the top spot on the Japan Hot 100.
EBiDAN’s “Yes! Tokyo” rises 3-2, topping both streaming and video while posting physical sales of 22,323 copies. Four debut entries land at Nos. 3 through 6, all title tracks from singles released Sept. 30. Cho Tokimeki Sendenbu’s “Omori Happy” enters at No. 3. selling 214,107 copies and landing at No. 14 on radio. Morning Musume.’26’s “Lonely…But not Alone” debuts at No. 4, selling 118,523 copies and hitting No. 8 for radio. CANDY TUNE’s “Soi So Free” arrives at No. 5 with 222,676 copies, and OWV’s “Lovey-Dovey” at No. 6 with 91,661 copies, placing No. 7 for radio.
Mrs. GREEN APPLE occupies No. 7 and 8 this week. The group released their sixth original full-length album POPS on Sept. 30, and all 16 tracks from the record chart simultaneously inside the top 100. “Brand New” continues at No. 7, while newly written album track “Kyohan” debuts at No. 8 with No. 2 for radio and No. 4 for streaming (4,967,267 weekly streams). Further album tracks follow at No. 11 (“lulu.”), No. 15 (“A Posteriori”), No. 17 (“Cinderella”), and No. 19 (“Variety”), with three tracks landing inside the streaming top 10. “GOOD DAY” climbs 98-22, and “Kaze to Machi” rises 54-29. All nine newly written album tracks — including “Hon to Suisei” at No. 26, “Kinjita Asobi” at No. 28, and “Episode” at No. 31 — debut this week.
M!LK’s “Sukisugite Metsu!” follows at No. 9 and YAO’s “Arifureta Sekai no Hate ni” at No. 10.
Elsewhere on the chart, Ayumu Imazu’s “Musubi” debuts at No. 20 with No. 10 on streaming. Hiromitsu Kitayama’s “BACKLASH” — the opener for the TV anime Tougen Anki: Nikko Kegon Falls Arc — charts at No. 37. Rosé’s “New Trick,” whose music video was produced in collaboration with Apple’s Shot on iPhone campaign, debuts at No. 41 with No. 1 for radio. “Audition” by Sakamichi Selection & Nogizaka46 & Sakurazaka46 & Hinatazaka46 climbs 88-39, and ICEx’s “LOVE dane” 100-46.
