John Mayer knows his way around Las Vegas’ Sphere , having spearheaded the residencies that Dead & Company did at that venue in 2024 and 2025. That Grateful Dead spinoff group may have reached its natural end with the death of Bob Weir in January of this year, but as it turns out, that did not mean that Mayer has lost his taste for exploring the possibilities of what can be done with the marriage of music and groundbreaking visuals there. He’s coming back on his own — with the various ensembles he leads as a solo atist — for a residency in April 2027.
