Announced last month, ‘ If The Sun Burns Out Tonight’ is the anthem for this year’s Valorant Champions Shanghai 2026 Finals , which brings together the world’s top 16 teams and kicks off next week (September 24).

The track, which brings together metal and electronic music, was written by DJ and producer Grabbitz and features vocals from Sykes and LaPlante.

“I’ve always been drawn to projects that blur the lines between storytelling and music, so working with Riot Games, alongside Grabbitz and Courtney, and becoming part of the Valorant world felt like a really natural fit,” Sykes said in a statement.

“Oli has given me the opportunity to perform live with Bring Me The Horizon many times over the years, and we’re finally debuting something we worked on together. Grabbitz produced such a great atmosphere and a song tailored to all three of our voices and Oli went in right away and made it a true collaboration,” added LaPlante, who recorded ‘Ties That Bind’ for League Of Legends spin-off 2XKO last year.

Speaking to NME back in 2022, LaPlante said Bring Me The Horizon were the band that “raised the bar for metalcore .”

“I think a lot of metal bands are very comfortable doing the same things as everyone else. There’s nothing wrong with that, of course – I love seeing a band who’ve been around for 30 years playing to three generations of fans, but Bring Me The Horizon speak to my dreams a lot more,” she added

“The best collaborations happen when everyone brings a different perspective to the room – and that’s what makes this record so exciting to me,” Grabbitz said of ‘If The Sun Burns Out Tonight’. “Oli, Courtney and I came together from different corners of the globe, and landed on a track that sits effortlessly between my electronic world and the heavy landscapes of Bring Me The Horizon and Spiritbox. The 3 of us just clicked – and the result is what I believe to be the best Valorant anthem to date.”

Bring Me The Horizon are currently wrapping up the last of their ‘NeX GEn’ shows but have already confirmed their first live dates of 2027 . Meanwhile Spiritbox are currently headlining UK arenas for the first time – with a gig at London’s Wembley Arena this Sunday (September 19). Find any remaining tickets here .

In other news, a number of huge musical artists  including  Travis Scott ,  Fred Again..  and  PinkPantheress , are teasing their involvement in the Grand Theft Auto 6 soundtrack.
