Booty Candy is perfect for 2026. It has just the right blend of hilarity and hyperbole to take your mind off current events and just enough home truths to give a voice to the shared pain, fear and rage of all of us whose very existence is subversive during these turbulent times. At a time when plays like Booty Candy are being censored in ostensibly democratic nations, seeing this show and laughing heartily is an act of resistance.
