Rosalía Didn't Feature on U2's Latest LP, But She Did Inspire a Track

Sorry, Rosalía fans: She is not secretly featured on the new U2 album.

U2 announced their 16th studio album, Carnaval De Luz , on Thursday, revealing a tracklist that immediately raised eyebrows thanks to its fourth song: “The Mirror Maker (Rosalía).” The title understandably led some fans, and publications, to conclude that the Spanish superstar appears on the track.

Not quite. A source confirmed to Consequence that the Spanish superstar is not listed among the album’s collaborators ( although the late Dolly Parton is! )

“Rosalía inspired the song,” the source said. “She’s not on it.”

Carnaval De Luz , U2’s first album of new material in nine years, arrives November 13th. The band hasn’t released a traditional album since 2017, although they did revisit their catalog with 2023’s Songs of Surrender and unveiled new material with last year’s EPs Days of Ash and Easter Lily .

The band also shared new single “Silencio” alongside Thursday’s announcement. Check out the video for Silencio below.
