Rosalía Pursues Acting Career Following Euphoria Debut, Eyed for Film with Bardem

Rosalía has her sights set on another type of performance art beyond music: acting.

After making her television acting debut earlier this year in Euphoria , the Spanish superstar says she wants to continue developing her skills in front of the camera.

“I learned so much because of the people that I was surrounded by,” Rosalía told Harper’s Bazaar of her experience on the HBO series. “I think that there’s such beauty in that art, and I want to learn that and master it.”

Rosalía, who played Magick in Euphoria ’s third season, acknowledged that acting requires a different skill set than performing music. “It’s a different discipline,” she said. “I feel excited and connected to it because I always loved watching movies.”

Her comments come as another potentially significant acting role is being rumored. Earlier this month, Deadline reported that Rosalía is in early talks to join Javier Bardem, Rebecca Ferguson, Connor Storrie, and Odessa A’zion in Wet , an upcoming film from Honey Boy director Alma Har’el, though no deals have been finalized.

The singer previously made a brief appearance in Pedro Almodóvar’s 2019 film Pain and Glory , but Euphoria marked her first substantial television role.

Rosalía recently wrapped her nearly 60-show “LUX Tour” in Miami and has already announced her return to music with “Where Is Gone?,” her upcoming collaboration with Fontaines D.C. for the Irish band’s new album Dopamine Chamber .
