Purplish Records, co-founded by Mdou Moctar bassist Mikey Coltun and Mark O'Donnell, has issued a new split 7-inch featuring SAICOBAB and the Mdou Moctar offshoot, TAKAAT.
Are y'all up on Purplish? Mdou Moctar bassist Mikey Coltun started the boutique label with Mark O'Donnell a couple years back to present curated tunes from lesser known parts of the world. Their flagship artist is TAKAAT, the Mdou Moctar offshoot, but they've got a wealth of other releases on Bandcamp for your perusal.
