Slam Dunk Festival 2027 Unveils Initial Lineup with Bowling For Soup, Simple Plan

The first wave of names for Slam Dunk Festival 2027 have been announced, with Bowling For Soup , Simple Plan and Killswitch Engage leading the way.

The festival is set to return to Hatfield and Leeds in 2027. Things take place in the north first, landing at Leeds Temple Newsam on Saturday May 29, before closing the weekend at Hatfield Park on Sunday May 30.

Leading the charge are Bowling For Soup – who return for their first Slam Dunk set since 2023, which frontman Jaret Reddick later described as “up there with my favourite shows of our career”. The set comes as they are celebrating 25 years since the release of their breakthrough album ‘Drunk Enough To Dance’.

Also headlining is Simple Plan, who return to the site for the first time in eight years and are also celebrating 25 years of an album – their debut record ‘No Pads, No Helmets…Just Balls’.

Elsewhere on the new line-up is Reel Big Fish, who are returning for a UK-exclusive reunion show following a hiatus in 2019, as well as Less Than Jake, The Interrupters, Grade 2, Beartooth , Wage War, and The Amity Affliction.

Killswitch Engage will be performing at Slam Dunk for the first time in 2027, following on from the 2025 release of ‘This Consequence’, their first album in six years.

Rounding out the bill so far are ERRA, Melrose Avenue, From Ashes To New, Sleeping With Sirens , The Used , The Maine, Trophy Eyes, Knuckle Puck, Hot Milk , Mouth Culture and more.

For this year’s edition of the festival, the first artists confirmed on the line-up included Good Charlotte , Sublime , Knocked Loose , Boston Manor , and State Champs. Others in the initial announcement included President , Taking Back Sunday , Dashboard Confessional , Cancer Bats , Motion City Soundtrack , Hawthorne Heights, Driveways and Tonight Alive .

In April, Slam Dunk announced that one of their festival directors would be removing themselves from operations following allegations made online .
