Starting the tour in Latin America feels fitting for Slash whose relationship with the region stretches back more than three decades. He first played South America with Guns N’ Roses at Rock in Rio in 1991, an experience he has since described as life-changing , while calling Brazil one of his favorite places in the world to play . He has similarly called Argentina one of his favorite places to play in the whole world” and praised Chilean crowds .

SMKC’s most recent South American run took place in early 2024, after kicking off that year’s international tour in Mexico City and continuing through Colombia, Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, and Chile. Several stops on the upcoming run, including Santiago’s Teatro Caupolicán, Mendoza’s Arena Maipú, Córdoba’s Plaza de la Música, and Curitiba’s Live Curitiba, are venues the band has previously played.

Flying Blind also marks 15 years of Slash’s partnership with Kennedy and The Conspirators. “When we started, we didn’t have anything,” Slash said in a statement. “We weren’t setting out to conquer the world. It was just for the pure pleasure of it.”
