Teens In Trouble Release New Pop-Funk Single "I Do"
Lizzie Killian's Raleigh-based project, Teens In Trouble, unveils "I Do," a new single blending pop-funk and fuzzed-out garage rock. The track opens with the relatable line, "I’m fine/ Actually, nevermind/ Rememberin’ why I was mad."

"I’m fine/ Actually, nevermind/ Rememberin’ why I was mad." That's how Lizzie Killian starts off "I Do," the new single from her Raleigh-based project Teens In Trouble. Relatable! Killian's music is somewhere between pop-funk and fuzzed-out garage rock, and "I Do" is a great example of what she does.
The last Teens In Trouble album was 2024's What's Mine , and PUP frontman Stefan Babcock guested on opening track " You Don't Want To Mess With Me ." Last year, Teens In Trouble had a couple of tracks on a split with Bat Boy . The band recorded the new single "I Do" with PUP collaborator Dave Schiffman. Lizzie Killian co-wrote it with Bat Boy's Hannah Eagle, who also adds backing vocals. It's a one-off for now, but we'll probably get more Teens In Trouble music soon.
In a press release, Killian says, "This is a friendship breakup song. I'd convinced myself I was over it until a mutual friend asked me about the situation over brunch. As I started to explain what happened, I found myself getting heated and realizing that maybe I wasn’t actually over it after all." In the Aja Pop-directed video, Killian goes to war in a boxing match. Check it out below.
