P.O.D. Unleash "Outbreak" Featuring Norma Jean's Cory Brandan

P.O.D. are back with the new song “Outbreak” featuring Norma Jean vocalist Cory Brandan. The track marks the band’s first new music since its 2024 album VERITAS .

The song falls on the heavier side of P.O.D.’s musical spectrum, with singer Sonny Sandoval’s smooth rap-sung verses accompanied by Brandon’s vicious screams.

Along with the single comes a music video depicting a zombie apocalypse, with a warning that some scenes may be disturbing to viewers.

Sandoval said of the collab with Brandon, “We have known the band [Norma Jean] and members for a while, but that was the first time we toured together and really got the chance to bond as friends.”

He added, “This is possibly one of the heaviest songs P.O.D. has ever written, so we wanted to showcase a guest vocalist who reflected that. Cory’s voice and tone bring a specific intensity and command that draws you in. Our voices together deliver an authoritative energy that matches the power of the song.”

Guitarist Marcos Curiel said of the song’s theme, “As avid fans of zombie apocalypse, video games, and movies, it seemed only fitting to compose a song about this topic. The song delicately straddles the line between nonfiction and fiction. It’s fun yet hard-hitting, bridging the gap between what’s real and what’s not.”
