Reggaetón Icon Wisin Joins WME for Full Representation

Wisin, an influential artist in the reggaetón movement, has signed with WME for representation in all areas, the agency announced Monday.

The Puerto Rican star, who is managed by D27 Entertainment’s Chris Duque, recently released the album La Universidad del Perreo, building on his successful surprise appearance during Karol G’s headline Coachella set in April.

Wisin rose to prominence as one half of the highly successful Latin duo Wisin y Yandel, producing anthems such as “Rakata,” “Mayor Que Yo” and “Pam Pam.” They were the first reggaetón artist to win a Grammy Award, and Wisin has developed a loyal following as a solo artist with 21 million monthly listeners on Spotify. His solo its include “Escápate Conmigo” featuring Ozuna, “Fiel” and “Adrenalina” featuring Jennifer Lopez and Ricky Martin.

The signing bolsters WME’s Latin roster, which includes Carín León, Natanael Cano, Shakira, Pitbull, J Balvin, Maluma, Ivan Cornejo and many more.
