Robbie Williams Surprises Buenos Aires with Impromptu Street Performance

Robbie Williams surprised fans with an impromptu street performance in Buenos Aires yesterday (Tuesday September 29). Check out the footage below.

The pop star sang to a crowd of approximately 30 to 40 people outside the Faena Hotel in the Puerto Madero neighbourhood of the Argentinian capital, as reported by Consequence .

He appeared alongside his live guitarist for the four-song acoustic set. Williams played ‘All My Life’ from his latest album ‘Britpop’ , ‘Selfish Disco’ from the record’s deluxe edition, and classic singles ‘Advertising Space’ and ‘Angels’ (via Setlist.FM ).

Williams is also said to have spent time chatting with fans and taking photographs with them.

The appearance came ahead of the singer’s first full live shows in Argentina in 20 years. He last took to the stage in the country when he played two gigs at Buenos Aires’ River Plate Stadium in October 2006.

Williams will play at the city’s Movistar Arena tomorrow night (Thursday October 1), before returning to the venue on Friday (October 2) and Sunday (October 4). From there, he’ll head to Mexico, Brazil, Australia and New Zealand.

The star recently performed in Colombia, Peru and Chile. Williams hosted a similar impromptu show outside his hotel in Lima, Peru, last week after his concert there was cancelled due to safety concerns at the venue.

Next summer, Williams will headline Lytham Festival in the UK, and play two massive stadium gigs in Ireland . He’ll top the bill at the British Grand Prix in July, too. The dates fall shortly after Glastonbury 2027 , sparking rumours that he’ll appear at Worthy Farm.

Williams said in 2023 that he believes he’d “slaughter” Glasto’s coveted Legends Slot if he was booked. “A lot of people there have an oblique perception of what I am. But if they saw me do it, I would take their heads off,” he explained.

Meanwhile, the singer shared last month that he’d been diagnosed with autism, saying that condition was his “get-out-of-jail-free card” .

Williams released his latest album, ‘Britpop’, in January.  He subsequently topped The Beatles’ all-time record for the most UK Number One albums with the project. The artist previously admitted that the prospect of dethroning the Fab Four was something he wanted “more than anything in my career right now” .
