Josephine Vaccarello Appointed President of MSG Entertainment

Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp. has announced that Josephine Vaccarello has become the President of MSG Entertainment. The new role will see Vaccarello, who previously served as the company’s Executive Vice President of Live, overseeing “the strategy and operations of multiple areas of the business as MSG Entertainment continues to focus on enhancing and expanding its portfolio of live experiences for the millions of guests welcomed to the company’s venues at hundreds of events each year,” as per an official statement.

Vaccarello’s range of responsibility now includes oversight of the company’s entertainment and sports bookings across concerts, family shows, comedy, performing arts, special events, and all non-New York Knicks and New York Rangers sports bookings, as well as the productions business, which includes the Radio City Rockettes and the Christmas Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockettes.

“Over her nearly thirty-year career with MSG, Josephine has not only been instrumental in growing our live event business but also established herself as one of the industry’s most impactful and respected leaders,” said Jim Dolan, Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of MSG Entertainment and Sphere Entertainment. “Her deep understanding of our businesses and unparalleled industry relationships will continue to be an asset in this new role as we execute on our strategic vision for the Company, including identifying innovative growth opportunities and furthering our leadership position in live experiences.”

She has been instrumental in creating new signature events, conceptualizing artist residencies, and delivering unique experiences for artists and fans at world-renowned performance venues: New York’s Madison Square Garden, Infosys Theater at Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall, and Beacon Theatre; The Chicago Theatre; and Sphere in Las Vegas. This includes some of the most impactful residencies in recent history, including Billy Joel’s 150-show franchise run at The Garden; Harry Styles’ ongoing 30-show residency at The Garden; and bookings at Sphere since U2 opened the groundbreaking immersive venue in September 2023.
