Red Clay Strays to Open Regions Arena in Hometown Mobile, AL

Energetic southern rock/country band The Red Clay Strays will open the new Regions Arena in Mobile, Alabama, on March 26, a hometown show with St. Paul & The Broken Bones as support.

“We are looking forward to playing a hometown show again!” The Red Clay Strays say in the announcement. “We’ve been gone way too long!”

The show will serve as the grand opening for the new, 10,000-capacity Gulf Coast venue, a reportedly $300 million project currently under construction in the city’s downtown, replacing the city’s demolished Mobile Civic Center.

“I’m incredibly excited that the Red Clay Strays are coming home to officially open Regions Arena,” Mobile Mayor Spiro Cheriogotis said in the announcement. “I truly believe that this show from this chart-topping hometown band will help launch this world-class venue into a new era of concerts, sporting events, touring acts and family shows here in Mobile. The future is bright for Regions Arena, and it all starts March 26th!”

Verified Diehards Presales begin Tuesday, Sept. 22 at 10:00 a.m. central, with Verified Strays Presales following on Tuesday, Sept. 22 at 12:00 pm. Additional presales include Red Clay Strays App User Presales (Sept. 23), with public onsale beginning Friday, Sept. 25 at 10:00 a.m.

“Welcoming the Red Clay Strays home as the first act to take the stage at Regions Arena is an incredibly special way to celebrate our Grand Opening,” said Erik Hudson, General Manager of Regions Arena. “This will be a historic night for the venue and for Mobile, and it sets the stage for an exciting future of live entertainment at Regions Arena.”

Touring in support and celebration of third studio LP Grateful , the band is currently on the road across North American headline tour, with major venue stops including TD Garden in Boston, Madison Square Garden in New York and Rogers Arena in Vancouver. The dates continue this weekend with a high-profile slot at Bourbon & Beyond festival in Louisville,  followed by more tour dates including two-night stands at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, State Farm Arena in Atlanta and MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, with dates taking the band into December. Support on the tour has included special guests The Revivalists, Travis Tritt, Sierra Ferrell, Muscadine Bloodline, Shane Smith and The Saints, Wyatt Flores, Haley Reinhart, and Brent Cobb.

The band is represented by WME and managed by Cody Payne’s All For One MGMT.
