Emporium Presents’ Dan Steinberg and Jason Zink are leaving Live Nation at the end of the year, with the promoters saying they are unsure of what the next chapter looks like but are looking forward to it.
“We are focused on finding homes for all our staff and making sure our shows are taken care of,” Steinberg tells Pollstar . After eight years and 4,000 shows with as a joint venture with Live Nation, “We are looking forward to our first break ever,” he says.
Zink adds, “We had a great run with Live Nation and collaborating with so many folks there. Now, I’m looking forward to exploring the world and spending time with my son.”
Emporium Presents joined Live Nation in 2018, with Live Nation acquiring a 51% stake. Emporium promoted 400-plus concerts annually in the U.S. and Canada, including concerts by artists ranging from Luke Bryan, Dolly Parton to Straight No Chaser, Brad Williams, Jason Mraz and Foo Fighters.
The company was previously known as Square Peg Concerts, with offices in the Pacific Northwest and Nashville.
Following the end of 2026, a six-month non-compete clause will take effect, after which Steinberg says he and Zink have no specific plans but are excited for the next chapter. Emporium Presents will no longer exist at Live Nation, Steinberg says.
Affectionately known as “Steiny” and taking part in multiple Pollstar conferences over the years, Steinberg and Works Entertainment’s Luke Pierce formed and host the popular “Promoter 101” podcast, featuring many major industry figures and interviews with promoters, agents and more. “Promoter 101” will continue to be hosted by Pierce and Steinberg.
At Pollstar Live! 2017, Steinberg was tapped as host and moderator of a keynote Q&A with Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino, which touched on subjects including secondary ticketing, independent promoters, festival blunders like Fyre Festival and more.
