Phish to Celebrate New Year’s Eve with 100th Madison Square Garden Performance

Phish has confirmed the beloved jam band will return to Madison Square Garden to ring in the new year – and the shows are extra special because they culminate in the group’s 100th performance at MSG.

Phish – which features Trey Anastasio (guitar, vocals), Jon Fishman (drums, vocals), Mike Gordon (bass, vocals), and Page McConnell (keyboards, vocals) – first played the iconic New York arena on Dec. 30, 1994. Over the past three decades, the band has made countless memories including 17 New Year’s Eve celebrations and 2017’s Baker’s Dozen, a 13-show run that featured Phish performing 237 songs with no repeats. This summer Phish treated fans five nights featuring tunes from the band’s early and mid-90s era.

And now the guys will be back to celebrate New Year’s Eve with a four-night run scheduled Dec. 30 – Jan. 2.

To commemorate the 100th show at the Garden, Phish premiered a new video celebrating the longtime Madison Square Garden employees who have helped make the shows happen over the years. An announcement from Phish’s PR team adds, “Told through the memories and experiences of ushers, bartenders, concession and merchandise staff, and others, the video reflects on decades of Phish shows through the eyes of the people who have welcomed the band and its fans year after year.”

A ticket request period for the NYE shows is currently underway at tickets.phish.com and ends Monday, October 12th at Noon ET. Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday, October 16 at Noon ET. A limited number of travel packages (hotel + tickets) will go on sale Thursday, October 8 at Noon ET at https://phishnye.100xhospitality.com/.

Phish has a handful of previously announced shows lined up including a show tonight at Allianz Amphitheater at Riverfront in Richmond, Virginia.
